Do I need to buy anything to take the 30/30 Challenge?
Nope. The challenge is completely free. I’m not selling you a course or equipment here — just giving you the plan and encouragement to help you pass your ham radio Technician exam.
Can I attend virtually?
You’ll use any study resource you choose — free or paid — and I’ll send you daily emails for 30 days to keep you on track and focused. In those emails, I’ll recommend the study service I’ve seen the most success with over the years (Ham Radio Prep — affiliate link), plus a few other free and paid options so you can pick what’s best for you.
Will you be teaching the lessons in the challenge?
No. The challenge is about structure and accountability. You’ll study through the resource you choose, and my job is to help you stay consistent and avoid overwhelm.
What if I fall behind?
No problem. You can always pause and restart the challenge. It’s about steady progress, not perfection.
Do I have to be technical or have radio experience?
Not at all. Most of the people who join have zero prior radio knowledge. This is designed for beginners, busy families, and everyday people.
Will I have to take the test in person?
The FCC Technician exam can be taken in person or online with an accredited Volunteer Examiner team. I’ll point you to resources to find the best option for you.
What happens after the challenge?
If you pass your exam — awesome! I’ll also send you a downloadable printable certificate you can frame or share online, plus some “next step” resources so you can start using your license right away.
